DISTRIBUTION: Central & South America.
TYPE LOCALITY: French Guyana.
BELIZE RECORDS: Augustine; Lamanai; La Milpa; Las Cuevas.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: illustrated in black and white by Watson (1971) fig 6c (adult) and figs 89a & b (male genitalia). Adult illustrated in black and white by Hampson (1920) p. 65, text fig. 16.
NOTES: This identification is quite certain, as confirmed by comparison of the genitalia with figures of the genitalia of the Type Specimen from French Guyana in Watson (1971). The facies are also quite distinctive.
