TYPE LOCALITY: Brazil.
BELIZE RECORDS: Pook's Hill; Greenhills; La Milpa.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: adult illustrated in black and white by Hampson (1901) p. 64, text fig. 48 and in colour by Seitz (1925) pl. 52, fig. c1.
NOTES: this is a quite distinctive species and the identification appears to be in no doubt.
