DISTRIBUTION: Central America.
TYPE LOCALITY: Panama.
BELIZE RECORDS: Greenhills; Las Cuevas.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: adult illustrated in colour by Seitz (1925) pl. 54, fig. b1, and by Druce (1884) pl. 10, fig. 2.
NOTES: this species appears to be distinctive and I am reasonably confident of the identification.
