TYPE LOCALITY: Costa Rica.
BELIZE RECORDS: Augustine; Las Cuevas; Pook's Hill.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: adult illustrated by Druce (1884) pl. 73, fig. 23.
NOTES: Hampson (1901) puts this species as a subspecies of I. daga Dognin 1891, but Watson & Goodger (1986) note these as two separate species. The identification seems reasonably certain.
