Idalus vitreoides

DISTRIBUTION: Central & South America.
TYPE LOCALITY: Trinidad.
BELIZE RECORDS: Greenhills; Pook's Hill; Lamanai; La Milpa; Augustine; Du Plooy's; Las Cuevas; Fallen Stones. It seems to be an extremely common and widespread species.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: I am grateful to Pat Haynes for identifying this common species, which would otherwise have been a mystery to me.
NOTES: the Type Locality gives rise to some doubt with regard to identification, but this name is probably th best we can do pending a generic revision.
