Parevia metachryseis
DISTRIBUTION: South & Central America.
TYPE LOCALITY: French Guyana.
BELIZE RECORDS: Pook's Hill; Augustine; Lubaantun.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: identified for me by Comte Hervé de Toulgoët
on facies. I originally misidentified this species as a Paranerita species near
irma Schaus.
NOTES: M. de Toulgoët very kindly gave me an identified
specimen from French Guyana to dissect for comparison. I have not yet done this and
so this identification is not fully confirmed. This may be the species referred to
as Parevia sisenna Druce
in the report of the Upper Raspaculo River Expedition (Buckmaster et al., 1994).
