TYPE LOCALITY: Mexico.
BELIZE RECORDS: Greenhills; Pook's Hill.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: adult illustrated in black and white by Hampson (1901) p. 100, text fig. 76. Adult illustrated in colour by Druce (1884) pl. 73, fig. 19. Adult and female genitalia illustrated by Watson (1971) plates 65d &247c .
NOTES: this is a distinctive species and there appears to be very little doubt about the identification of my specimens from Belize.
