Virbia birchi(?)

DISTRIBUTION: S. America.
TYPE LOCALITY: Trinidad, Colombia.
BELIZE RECORDS: Pook’s Hill.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: adult illustrated in colour by Hampson (1920) plate 41, fig. 22 .
NOTES: I doubt very much whether this is the correct identification for my specimens from Belize ; the genus Virbia is a large and complex one, in need of revision. My specimen matches the figure given as V. birchi in Hampson (1920) most closely.
