Zatrephes rosacea(?)
DISTRIBUTION: Central & South America.
TYPE LOCALITY: Brazil.
BELIZE RECORDS: Pook's Hill.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: adult illustrated in colour by Rothschild (1909) in
Novitates Zoologicae 16, pl. 4, figs. 28 & 30 and by Seitz (1925) pl. 52, figs. k5,6.
Pat Haynes refers to similar specimens from Pook's Hill as Zatrephes rosella
Rothschild, but I can find no mention of this in Watson & Goodger (1986) - it
is probably a British Museum manuscript name.
NOTES: there seems to be some confusion over the identity of this species.
