DISTRIBUTION: southern USA to Uruguay; Antilles.
TYPE LOCALITY: Antigua.
BELIZE RECORDS: Recorded by Meerman (1999) from Corozal, Orange Walk, Cayo and Toledo districts.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: illustrated in colour by d’Abrera (1986) p. 105.
NOTES: the illustrations are of specimens in my collection from Montserrat, West Indies (male) and St. Lucia, West Indies (female).
