DISTRIBUTION: central America south to Bolivia; some lesser Antilles.
TYPE LOCALITY: Bolivia.
BELIZE RECORDS: Recorded by Meerman (1999) from Cayo and Toledo districts.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: illustrated in colour by d’Abrera (1986) p. 123.
NOTES: the illustrated specimen is one from Dominica, West Indies, in my collection.
