DISTRIBUTION: Mexico to Bolivia; Antilles.
TYPE LOCALITY: Jamaica.
BELIZE RECORDS: Recorded by Meerman (1999) from Corozal, Orange Walk, Cayo and Toledo districts.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: illustrated in colour by d’Abrera (1986) p. 121.
NOTES: the illustrated specimen is one from St. Lucia, West Indies, in my collection.
