DISTRIBUTION: Brazil to Mexico; Antilles.
TYPE LOCALITY: 'South America'.
BELIZE RECORDS: Greenhills; Augustine.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: illustrated in colour by d’Abrera (1986) p. 171 and by Hodges (1971) plate 13, fig. 16.
NOTES: the larva feeds on Chiococca and Erythoxylon.
