Aclytia punctata
DISTRIBUTION: S. & C. America.
TYPE LOCALITY: Honduras.
BELIZE RECORDS: Greenhills; Augustine; Pook's Hill.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: forecoxae white and ventral surface of abdomen
except extremity white. The adult is illustrated in colour by Hampson (1898)
plate 15, fig. 12. There are two forms - one with the white forewing spot
and one without, as shown.
NOTES: this identification seems to be reliable - the species is quite distinctive.
