DISTRIBUTION: S. (& C.?) America.
TYPE LOCALITY: Venezuela.
BELIZE RECORDS: Greenhills; Pook's Hill; Augustine.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: adult illustrated in colour by Hampson (1914) plate 20, fig. 31.
NOTES: I have not been at all critical in this determination. I suspect that it may be wrong as the distribution given by Hampson does not include Central America; however, the whole genus probably needs revising.
