TYPE LOCALITY: Panama.
BELIZE RECORDS: Pook's Hill; Augustine.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: described by Hampson (1898) on page 407. Illustrated
in colour by Seitz (1925) on plate 21, fig. c3.
NOTES: There are a number of
superficially identical but totally unrelated
species which are members of other families such as the Pyralidae. This species is quite
distinctive and the identification is virtually certain.
