DISTRIBUTION: C. America; southern USA; Caribbean.
TYPE LOCALITY: Honduras.
BELIZE RECORDS: Greenhills.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: by comparison with identified specimens in my collection from St. Kitt’s. Adult illustrated in colour by Seitz (1925) on plate 16, fig. e6.
NOTES: The larva can be a major pest of Oleander bushes throughout the Caribbean. This is a distinctive species whose identity is in little doubt.
