DISTRIBUTION: Mexico to Panama.
TYPE LOCALITY: 'Limas', Mexico.
BELIZE RECORDS: Greenhills.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: adult illustrated in colour by Seitz (1925) pl. 61, fig. a3 and by Watson & Goodger (1986) fig. 10.
NOTES: This seems to be a very distinctive species, although the identification requires confirmation.
