Illice polyzona

DISTRIBUTION: C. & S. America; Dominica.
TYPE LOCALITY: Mexico.
BELIZE RECORDS: Maya Beach.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: described by Hampson (1900) page 367. Adult illustrated by Seitz (1925) plate 33, fig. b5 and by Druce (1884) plate 12, fig. 13.
NOTES: there are several very similar species with which I may be confusing this, such as Nodozana thricophora Hampson (illustrated in black and white by Hampson (1900) page 375, text figure 286) and Illice triplagiata Rothschild (illustrated by Hampson (1914) plate 35, fig. 32); however, my specimens seem to match I. polyzona the best.
