DISTRIBUTION: C. America to Surinam.
TYPE LOCALITY: Martinique.
BELIZE RECORDS: Pook’s Hill; Greenhills.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: adult and genitalia illustrated by Scoble ( 1994) figs.
1, 23 (adult) and 42, 43 and 58 (male and female genitalia), who revises and
illustrates this whole genus.
NOTES: this identification is largely based upon the
stated range of this species, as this species is indistinguishable except
by genitalial dissection from the S. American species P. incolorata Prout.
