Sericoptera mahometaria

DISTRIBUTION: C. & S. America; Antilles.
TYPE LOCALITY: Venezuela.
BELIZE RECORDS: Augustine.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: by comparison with specimens from Dominica in my collection identified as this species by comparison with specimens in the Herbulot collection of Geometridae. Adult illustrated in black and white by Beutelspacher (1980) fig. 30.
NOTES: there are several similar species in this genus so confirmation of identification is required.
