| If necessary, practical biology classes for assessment of
coursework can be arranged at cost through Oxford International
College - with whom I have an excellent working relationship.
Practicals are no longer conducted under my own direct
supervision but I can offer advice on planning and write-up.
Practical and other coursework may be submitted through the
college for assessment and submission as part of the A-level
examination.
My philosophy on 'assessed practicals' - and that of my colleague at
OIC - is to make the student do as many as is
necessary to reach her or his full potential and to achieve the maximum
realistic marks - no more and no less.
Oxford International College is a registered examination centre and can offer examination facilities to independent candidates who would otherwise have problems finding a centre. Payment for these services is directly to the college and there is a small registration fee. The latter represents extremely good value for money, in my opinion, as - unlike many other schools and colleges - the college offers an exceptionally high degree of individual support in dealings with the examination boards. |
