Many full-time students at local schools (both state and private) come
to me for
extra tuition to supplement their studies, either during the day or in
the evening.
Common reasons given for seeking extra help include falling behind due
to illness; not being clear about key points, or disruption of progress
due to frequent staff changes.
Sometimes schoolfriends organise a small 'study club' and come to me in groups of two or three - I am more than happy to cater for this and, indeed, encourage it where students cannot afford extra help on an individual basis (my hourly charge is the same regardless of the size of group). Work done in tutorials includes my explaining problem areas (I will make key-point notes for you); running through past papers (I have complete sets for most syllabuses, and there is no extra charge for marking done out of tutorials) and help with essay-writing and question-answering technique. |
