unidentified Sterrhine species
I have received a quantity of what are definitely Sterrhines; however, they are
in such a poor state of preservation that it is impossible to determine what they are.
Species which might be expected to be present include Leptostales terminata
Guenee
1858 (illustrated in colour as Scelolophia terminata ssp. fragmentata
Warren 1904
by Zagatti, Lalanne-Cassou and Le Duchat d'Aubigny (internet)); Scopula umbilicata
Fabricius 1794 (illustrated in colour by Zagatti, Lalanne-Cassou and Le Duchat
d'Aubigny (internet)); and Ptychamalia perlata Warren 1900 (illustrated in
colour by Zagatti, Lalanne-Cassou and Le Duchat
d'Aubigny (internet)). It is possible that some or all of these species - among others -
may be present in the collections in my possession from the Grenadines but
the material is in too poor a condition to examine.
Numbers assigned by the Exeter University Expedition to their material in this group
includes No's. 10, 22, 78, 100, 189 and 202.
