Distribution: worldwide in tropical and subtropical regions
Type locality: Tahiti.
Synonyms: many (see Poole 1989, p. 76).
E. Caribbean records: Guadeloupe; Dominica; Grenada.
Grenadines records: Mustique, Union, Frigate (E.U. Exp., No's. 209 & 230).
Method of identification: illustrated in colour by Pinhey (1975) pl. 59, fig. 1166 and plate 63, fig. 1166a and 1166b. Adult & Genitalia illustrated in colour on website on French Antilles Lepidoptera by Zagatti, Lalanne-Cassou & Le Duchat d'Aubigny.
Notes: the larval foodplant is Chenopodium album.
