Anomis impasta (?)




Distribution: tropical America.
Type locality: French Guyana.
Synonyms: Anomis doctorium Dyar 1913.
E. Caribbean records: Guadeloupe, Barbados.
Grenadines records: Bequia, Union, Petite Martinique (E.U. Exp., No's 51,77 and 200).
Method of identification: my specimens kindly identified by Bernard Lalanne-Cassou, Paris. Illustrated in black and white by Kimball (1965) pl. 18, fig. 6. Adult & Genitalia illustrated in colour on website on French Antilles Lepidoptera by Zagatti, Lalanne-Cassou & Le Duchat d'Aubigny.
Notes: this is a complex genus in need of revision. This identification may be concealing a complex of species. The genitalia of my specimens from the Grenadines do not match exactly with the images of Zagatti et al (internet).
