E. Caribbean records: Nevis; Guadeloupe; Dominica; St. Lucia; St. Vincent; Barbados.
Grenadines records: Union (Daudin, Sept. 1982 & June 1987); Bequia, Canouan (E.U. Exp., No. 123).
Method of identification: illustrated in black and white by Kimball (1965) pl. 10, fig. 26. Adult & Genitalia illustrated in colour on website on French Antilles Lepidoptera by Zagatti, Lalanne-Cassou & Le Duchat d'Aubigny.
Notes: this is the famous 'Bat Moth' or 'Black Witch Moth'.
