Distribution: tropical and subtropical America.
Type locality: Venezuela.
Synonyms: Bolina agrotipennis Harvey 1875.
E. Caribbean records: Grenadines only.
Grenadines records: Union (Barnes, Dec. 1994; Daudin, July 1997); Bequia,
Quatre, Baliceaux, Canouan, Mayero, Union, Palm,
Petit St. Vincent, Petite Martinique (E.U. Exp., No. 5).
Method of identification: my specimens from the Lesser Antilles identified by comparison
of genitalial dissections with drawings kindly provided by Bernard Lalanne-Cassou of
Paris. Illustrated in black and white by Richards (1939) pl. 1, figs 8 & 9 (adult)
