Distribution: South and Central America; Cuba; Jamaica (?).
Type locality: ‘W. Indies’.
Synonyms: Charidea cimicoides Herrich-Schaeffer 1866; Pionia calopteridia Druce 1886.
Source of record: not mentioned in Gowdey (1926) although in I.O.J. collection (Tom Turner, pers. comm.); M.J.C.B. collection.
Method of identification: terminalis illustrated in black and white by Hampson (1898) p. 519, text fig. 274.
Notes: Tom Turner (pers. comm.) expresses the opinion that this species is sexually dimorphic - the male is illustrated.
