Type locality: Jamaica
Synonyms: Empyreuma pugione L. 1767 (a misidentification - true pugione is
from Hispaniola and St. Thomas).
Source of record: I.O.J. collection.
Method of identification: specimens in I.O.J. identified as E. pugione - corrected to
E. anassa by Forbes (1917).
Notes: the larval foodplant is given as Oleander by Forbes (1917).
