Type locality: unknown.

Method of identification: illustrated in colour by d'Abrera (1986) p. 101.
Notes: the image here is modified from Seitz (1925) pl. 98, fig. e2. The form from Jamaica, ssp. insularis Rothschild & Jordan 1903 is said by d'Abrera to differ little from the mainland form.
