Chloropteryx paularia




Distribution: southern Florida; Greater Antilles.
Type locality: Jamaica.
Synonyms: Aplodes punctata Warren 1904.
Source of record: listed by Gowdey (1926); Jamaica is Type Locality.
Method of identification: Illustrated in colour by Seitz (1925) pl. 8, fig.c5. Illustrated in colour by Ferguson (1985) pl. 4 figs 66-68 (adult) and text figs. 2d, 26d, 28g & h and 30 c (male and female genitalia).
Notes: the related species C. glauciptera is found in the Lesser Antilles and appears to have been confused with this species in the past. The illustration here is modified from Seitz (1925).
