Thyrinteina unicornis




Distribution: Jamaica only.
Type locality: Jamaica.
Synonyms: confused in the past with Thyrinteina arnobia Stoll ssp.quadricostaria Herrich-Schaeffer.
Source of record: M.J.C.B. collection. The record of 'Amphidasys arnobia' in Gowdey (1926) is almost certainly this species.
Method of Identification: my specimens kindly identified for me by Dr. Frederick H. Rindge. Adult and genitalia are illustrated by Rindge (1961) 22, figs. 6 & 7 (adult) and text figs. 26 & 42 (genitalia)
Notes: the tribe Nacophorini (including this genus) is revised by Rindge (1961).
