Synonyms: Phalaena attacus agarista Cramer 1777; Erebus odorata auct.

Method of identification: illustrated in black and white by Kimball (1965) pl. 10, fig. 26.
Notes: this is the famous 'Bat Moth' or 'Black Witch Moth'.
