Distribution: southern Florida; Central America; Greater Antilles; Bahamas.
Type locality: Cuba.
Source of record: listed by Gowdey (1926) p. 63 (as 'Prodenia pulchella').
Method of identification: illustrated in black and white by Todd & Poole (1980) figs. 12 & 24 (adult) and figs. 34 & 50 (genitalia) and in colour by Hampson (1909a) pl. 128, fig. 17.
