Type locality: Carolina; Virginia.
Synonyms: Phalaena edusa Drury 1773; Erebus putrescens Guerin-Meneville; Homoptera saundersii Bethune 1865; Homoptera rosae Behr 1870; Homoptera salicis Behr 1870.
