Diaphania nitidalis




Distribution: tropical and subtropical America.
Type locality: Surinam.
Synonyms: Diaphania vitralis Hubner 1818.
Source of record:Gowdey (1926) (as 'Margaronia nitidalis').
Method of identification: illustrated in black and white by Amsel (1956) pl. 96, fig. 17. The yellow coloration of this species makes it distinctive. The larva is the 'Pickleworm', a pest of various cucurbit crops.
