Distribution: South America; Antilles (?) .
Type locality: French Guyana.
Synonyms: Botys thalloalis Walker 1859; Pilocrocis thoasalis Hampson 1899.
Source of record: Gowdey (1926) (as 'Pilocrocis inguinalis').
Method of identification: this species is currently unknown to me.
Notes: Munroe (pers. comm., 1989) feels that this identification is 'doubtful'.
