Type locality: 'Europe'.

Method of identification: illustrated in black and white by Amsel 91956) pl. 83, figs. 7 & 8 (adult) and pl. 26, fig. 3 (genitalia).
Notes: the larva is the 'Spotted Beet Webworm', a pest of beets and other crops and ornamental plants.
