Distribution: tropical America.
Type locality: West Indies.
Synonyms: Botys campalis Guenee 1854; Botys cubanalis Guenee 1854.
Source of record: Listed by Gowdey (1926) (as 'Pilocrocis tripunctata').
Method of identification: this species is currently unknown to me.
Notes: the larva is the Sweet Potato Leaf Roller.
