Microthyris anormalis

Distribution: southern USA; Central and South America; Antilles.
Type locality: French Guyana.
Synonyms: Botys helcitalis Walker 1859; Botys orphnealisWalker 1859; Botys dracusalis Walker 1859; Botys subaequalis Walker 1866.

Method of identification: my specimens kindly identified by Dr. Eugene Munroe of Ottawa. Illustrated in black and white (as 'Syllepta anormalis') pl. 90, fig. 10 (adult) and pl. 4, fig. 5 (genitalia). Illustrated in colour by Kimball (1965) pl. 6, fig. 8.
