Distribution: South and Central America; Cuba; Jamaica (?).
Type locality: ‘W. Indies’.
Synonyms: Charidea cimicoides Herrich-Schaeffer 1866; Pionia calopteridia
Source of record: not mentioned in Gowdey (1926) although in I.O.J.
collection (Tom Turner, pers. comm.);
