18. Doidae

| BACK TO LIST OF MOTH FAMILIES |

The Doidae are another family which are sometimes regarded as a subfamily of the Notodontidae and whose species have variously been placed in the Arctiidae, the Lymantriidae and the Dioptidae. The family includes about half a dozen species confined to the south-western United States, Mexico and neighbouring areas.

I have only taken one species in Belize to date, as listed below. Please click on the species name to go to a colour illustration of the adult and brief information on the species.
