The Doidae are another family which are sometimes regarded as a
subfamily of the Notodontidae and whose species have variously been
placed in the Arctiidae, the Lymantriidae and the Dioptidae.
The family includes about half a dozen species confined to the south-western
United States, Mexico and neighbouring areas.
I have only taken one species in Belize to date, as listed below.
