DISTRIBUTION: Mexico to northern Venezuela.
TYPE LOCALITY: Jalapa, Mexico.
BELIZE RECORDS: Pook's Hill; Lamanai.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: adult and genitalia illustrated by Scoble (1990) p. 138, figs. 15, 54, 96 & 100.
NOTES: the larval foodplant of this species is given as Croton (family Euphorbiaceae) by Scoble (1990).
