DISTRIBUTION: Mexico to northern S. America; Trinidad; Jamaica; Cuba.
TYPE LOCALITY: Honduras.
BELIZE RECORDS: Greenhills.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: adult and genitalia illustrated by Scoble (1990) p. 157, figs. 41, 75, 121 & 125.
NOTES: the larval foodplant of this species is given as Hibiscus (family Malvaceae) by Scoble (1990).
