DISTRIBUTION: C. & S. America.
TYPE LOCALITY: Surinam.
BELIZE RECORDS: Greenhills; Pook's Hill.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: adult illustrated in colour by Seitz (1925) pl. 89 fig. g6,7 (as lividia).
NOTES: this identification requires confirmation. There is some considerable sexual dimorphism in this species; all of my specimens from Belize are male, including the one illustrated.
