DISTRIBUTION: Mexico, Belize.
TYPE LOCALITY: Mexico (Quintana Roo).
BELIZE RECORDS: recorded by Meerman (1999) from Corozal and Cayo districts.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: illustrated in black and white by Brou, V. A. (1984) Journal of the Lepidopterists' Society 38(2); 96-101. Very similar to pellenia but considerably smaller.
