DISTRIBUTION: Central America.
TYPE LOCALITY: Nicaragua.
BELIZE RECORDS: Greenhills; Lamanai.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: identified by Jan Meerman from my misidentified photograph in my unpublished 1997/98 Belize moths report. Illustrated in colour by d’Abrera (1995) p. 95.
NOTES: I do not know how to separate this from the allegedly different species Pt. lilacina Schaus, which d’Abrera also illustrates, and as which I identified my specimens in my 1997/98 report.
