DISTRIBUTION: Belize to Brazil (Belize is noted as a locality by Cook & Scoble (1995).
TYPE LOCALITY: Fonte Boa, Brazil.
BELIZE RECORDS: Greenhills.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: adult illustrated by Seitz (1925) plate 7 fig. b3.
Adult and genitalia illustrated by Cook & Scoble (1995) fig. 55 (adult) and
figs. 127 & 182 (genitalia).
NOTES: this identification is largely made on the basis
of distribution, as carnelunata Warren; Marginata Warren and
obsolescens
Prout are very difficult to distinguish from tricamerata without dissection,
but according to Cook & Scoble (1995) only O. tricamerata includes Belize
in its range. Genitalial dissection is required for confirmation.
