Ascalapha odorata

DISTRIBUTION: warm temperate, sub-tropical and tropical Americas.
TYPE LOCALITY: 'America'.
BELIZE RECORDS: seen almost everywhere I have collected in Belize.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: by comparison with identified specimens in my collection. Very characteristic and unlikely to be confused with anything else.
NOTES: colour forms exist with varying degrees of white in the ‘shingling’ on fore- and hind-wings.
